| Effect of climate change and ocean acidification on coral reef algae I am studying the effect of elevated sea surface temperatures and ocean acidification on coral reef algae. I include various growth forms and taxa in my experiments, looking at turf algal communities as well as macroalgal responses to the changed environmental conditions. I am investigating possible changes in productivity, pigment content, growth rate, fertility and species composition. Other factors such as farming by damselfish or eutrophication are being studied in conjunction with climate change scenario conditions. |
